WWE is planning to close tonight’s SmackDown with Sami Zayn defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against Trick Williams.
Viper Reports noted that WWE’s planned rundown for the show has the match as the main event.
Williams got his shot after a conversation with Nick Aldis on last week’s SmackDown. That night, he confronted Zayn and demanded a title match, which Aldis granted.
The two have a history of title matches this year. Williams defeated Zayn at WrestleMania 42 to win the United States Championship and beat him again at Backlash in May. But this time, it’s Zayn who is the champion.

On Monday’s RAW, Zayn successfully defended the title against Je’Von Evans after Bron Breakker attacked Penta and caused a distraction.
Tonight’s match will directly affect Crown Jewel on November 7. Zayn is scheduled to face Roman Reigns for the Men’s Crown Jewel Championship. If Williams wins, that matchup would change.
Tonight’s SmackDown will take place at the Charleston Coliseum in Charleston, West Virginia, and will air on USA Network at 8 p.m. ET.
