Kairi Sane is still negotiating a possible move to AEW, but a debut at All Out is all but ruled out, at least for now.
Fightful Select reports in a new update that Sane had not signed with AEW as of Friday and was not part of the plans for Saturday’s pay-per-view. One source told the outlet that, as things currently stand, it would be nearly impossible from a legal standpoint to get her on the show.
Talks between the two sides are ongoing, however. The report adds that Sane is expected to work under a dual contract if a deal is ultimately reached, though it does not say which other promotion would be involved.
Sane has officially been a free agent since July, when the 90-day non-compete period that followed her April 24 exit from WWE expired. That exit came amid WWE’s large wave of releases after WrestleMania 42. She is also now represented by Barry Bloom, an agent whose clients include AEW’s Kenny Omega, Will Ospreay and The Young Bucks.

Sources had previously confirmed to the Wrestling Observer that several promotions had shown interest in Sane, while Marigold was not considered a likely destination. Sane, a former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, has also had two earlier runs with Stardom.
On Thursday, Thekla addressed the rumors surrounding Sane.
“Kairi has been the talk of the town. I’m only going to believe it once I see it.”
AEW All Out takes place Saturday, September 26, at the NOW Arena in Chicago, Illinois. The show is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. ET.
