The possibility of WWE moving WrestleMania 43 to the United States because of the conflict in the Middle East has fueled speculation about which U.S. venue would host the show.
One venue that has been mentioned is the Sphere in Las Vegas, which has some of the most advanced technology in the world.
But according to Fightful Select, WWE has no plans to use the Sphere as a backup venue for the April 2027 event. The report also detailed the shows already on the venue’s calendar. John Mayer is scheduled to perform there on April 10 and 11, 2027, the dates WWE is reportedly targeting internally, as well as at the end of the month. Oprah Winfrey has dates there from April 2 to 4, 2027.
Mayer’s official schedule also lists shows at the Sphere on April 8, 15, 17, 18, 28 and 30, 2027. In total, he has eight confirmed shows at the venue during the month, all scheduled to start at 8 p.m. local time.
In Friday’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer also mentioned the dates WWE has been considering internally. He pointed to the weekend of April 10 and 11, 2027, as the expected window for WrestleMania 43.
As previously reported, Meltzer had already ruled out Las Vegas as a backup option earlier this month. His sources pointed to problems with date availability and with the financial incentives the city offered to host the past two WrestleManias.
WWE reportedly looked into using the Sphere for a promotional piece during WrestleMania 42. According to a report Fightful published on April 9, one of the early ideas involved Danhausen, but a deal wasn’t finalized at the time.
WWE announced Riyadh as the host city for WrestleMania 43 in September 2025. The announcement confirmed that WrestleMania would be held outside North America for the first time.
The company has not officially announced the exact dates or the venue for the event in Saudi Arabia.
