Haku spotted in Boston ahead of SmackDown, set to appear as Tama and Talla Tonga challenge for the tag titles.

Update on WWE Stable Ahead of Major SmackDown Title Match

Haku appears to be moving closer to a regular role in WWE programming after returning to Friday Night SmackDown in late July alongside Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga.

According to PWInsider’s Mike Johnson, there’s no confirmation yet that the veteran has been brought in full-time. That said, Haku is already in Boston, Massachusetts, and is set to appear on tonight’s SmackDown, 8/14.

Johnson reported:

“While we have not heard 100% he is in full-time, Haku is already in Boston ahead of tonight’s Smackdown and will be appearing tonight.”

His latest appearance adds further weight to the idea that Haku is settling into a leadership role alongside Tama and Talla.

The storyline began taking shape after Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga split from Solo Sikoa and struck out on their own on the June 26 SmackDown.

Haku has a significant reason to be in their corner tonight. Tama and Talla challenge for the WWE Tag Team Championship in a Triple Threat Match against champions Damian Priest and R-Truth, as well as the War Raiders.

Tonight’s SmackDown airs from the TD Garden in Boston on USA Network at 8 p.m. ET.
