AEW released exclusive footage of Kevin Knight, the reigning TNT Champion, walking through the backstage area at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York, shortly after Double or Nothing went off the air on Sunday night (May 24).

In the video, posted on the company’s official social media channels, AEW cameras try to get a word with Knight in the hallway, but he keeps walking and refuses to comment on what he had just done.

Moments earlier, in the main event, MJF defeated Darby Allin in a Title vs. Hair Match to win the AEW World Championship for the third time. After the match, as medical officials were placing Allin on a stretcher, Knight came out and initially appeared to be checking on him. Instead, he hit Allin with a UFO Splash and knocked over the stretcher as the show came to a close.

Before the main event, Knight had offered Allin words of encouragement backstage, which now appears to have been part of a calculated plan.

It remains to be seen how Allin will respond to Knight’s heel turn.
