WWE is expected to once again schedule events directly opposite major AEW pay-per-views.
WWE’s Worlds Collide is set for tonight, September 26, at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, while AEW All Out will be held about 20 miles away at NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates. Worlds Collide will not air live, even though the show is taking place tonight.
WWE has confirmed that the show will instead premiere exclusively on YouTube on Wednesday, September 30, at 7 p.m. ET. AEW Dynamite begins an hour later, meaning the two companies will also compete for viewers four days after their Chicago-area shows.
WWE intends to try this kind of counterprogramming again, according to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer.

The Worlds Collide card includes a six-man tag team match pitting CM Punk, Rey Mysterio and El Grande Americano against Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh and Omos. Penta and Rey Fenix will reunite as the Lucha Bros to face Daga and Berto, and La Catalina will defend the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship against Roxanne Perez. Oba Femi has also been confirmed for a special appearance.
The head-to-head scheduling does not appear to have hurt ticket sales. According to POST Wrestling, more than 12,600 tickets had been distributed for Worlds Collide, while All Out was sold out at 9,322 seats after additional seats were made available.
