Drew McIntyre could return to WWE television this Friday on Friday Night SmackDown after more than a month away from the company’s weekly shows.
WWE itself has the Scottish Warrior listed among the names advertised for tonight’s show, which takes place at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky.
McIntyre has not appeared on WWE television since WrestleMania 42. At the event, he was defeated by Jacob Fatu in a violent Unsanctioned Match, which ended after Fatu hit a Moonsault through a table.
Along with Drew, WWE is also advertising Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, Jade Cargill, Tiffany Stratton, and Randy Orton for tonight’s show. Orton, like McIntyre, has also been away from programming since WrestleMania 42.

So far, however, WWE has not announced any match or segment involving McIntyre. Because of that, his appearance should still be treated with caution, as cards and advertised names can always change.
McIntyre is also advertised for next week’s SmackDown on May 29, the final episode before Clash In Italy, which takes place on May 31.
Should Drew return, he could begin a new creative direction just as WWE approaches an important stretch of international shows.
