GUNTHER was one of the most notable absences from the latest WWE SmackDown in Corpus Christi, Texas.
His absence raised questions among fans, especially at a time when he had been part of the Undisputed WWE Championship picture.
The week before, GUNTHER appeared in a backstage segment with Finn Bálor. He had spent recent weeks pursuing Sami Zayn and a new shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship.
The explanation has nothing to do with an injury or any removal from WWE programming.
GUNTHER was in London spending time with his wife, former NXT UK wrestler Jinny. The two have been married since 2022. In a post, GUNTHER wrote:
“Spending time in London with the Queen.”
GUNTHER is expected back in action next week. He is set to face CM Punk and Finn Bálor in a Triple Threat Match qualifier for Money in the Bank.
