The finals of the tournament to crown the next challenger for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship have been set.

Penta and Rey Fenix advanced to the tournament final, which will determine the next challenger for Roman Reigns’ World Heavyweight Championship.

The brothers earned their spots on Monday’s RAW, August 24, at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, Ontario. Rey Fenix put away Dragon Lee with the Mexican Muscle Buster, while Penta won the other semifinal over La Parka.

WWE has booked the final between the brothers for the August 31 episode of RAW. The winner will challenge Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship on the September 14 show at Arena CDMX in Mexico City.

AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio announced the eight-man tournament featuring talent from AAA, RAW, and SmackDown. Penta kicked off his tournament run with a win over Laredo Kid on the August 10 RAW, and Rey Fenix defeated El Fiscal on the August 17 RAW to claim the other semifinal spot.

La Parka reached the semifinals from the same side of the bracket after beating Psycho Clown on the August 15 AAA show. Dragon Lee filled out the other half of the bracket with a win over El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. on the August 17 RAW.

The final will mark the first singles match between the Lucha Brothers in WWE.

Penta and Rey Fenix have wrestled each other twice on AEW Dynamite, in October and November 2020. Rey Fenix won the first match in the AEW World Championship eliminator tournament on October 21, 2020. Penta took the rematch on November 11, 2020, hitting three Package Piledrivers in the show’s main event.
