Add as a preferred source on Google AEW Redemption could end up as the company’s lowest-performing pay-per-view of 2026.
Dave Meltzer reported in the August 3 Wrestling Observer Newsletter that early estimates place the July 26 show between 115,000 and 125,000 buys. The number remains preliminary and could move once late purchases are counted.
That range would put Redemption below Forbidden Door, which had been tracking as AEW’s lowest-performing PPV of the year. Meltzer wrote earlier this month that Forbidden Door’s HBO Max business was comparable to Dynasty, which did about 145,000 buys, while its other distributors were down.

The inaugural Redemption took place at the Bell Centre in Montreal, with 6,898 tickets distributed as of the morning of the show. It was AEW’s second PPV in four weeks, while All In is next on August 30 at Wembley Stadium.
Kenny Omega retained the AEW World Championship against Kevin Knight in the main event. The closing angle set up Omega’s All In defense against Will Ospreay, while Willow Nightingale beat Thekla for the AEW Women’s World Championship. Andrade El Idolo and Maya World also won the National and TBS titles, respectively.
