Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Rougeau threw a tantrum after AEW passed on a video package he had put together for his family’s tribute at the July 26 pay-per-view, and that an AEW official told him to calm down or he would be thrown out of the Bell Centre in Montreal.
People close to the brothers told Cultaholic that neither happened. Per that report, AEW asked the Rougeaus for the video in the first place because they own footage from the old Lutte Internationale territory. The problem was that the video included AI-generated content, which AEW has a strict policy against, and AEW’s legal team couldn’t clear it in time.
Jacques wasn’t happy about the call but understood it, according to those sources, and nobody told him to calm down or leave the arena.

The tribute honored 80 years and four generations of the Rougeau family. Matt Menard introduced Jacques and Raymond to the crowd before Rocky Romero interrupted and got jumped by the brothers.
