Andrade El Idolo isn’t expected to miss much time from AEW TV despite the concern surrounding MJF’s attack at Grand Slam: Mexico.
According to Fightful Select, the 36-year-old is doing fine, and his absence this week was already planned. Andrade is expected back on TV next week to continue his feud with MJF.
Questions arose after Andrade posted an image of the cut he suffered during MJF’s attack. The reigning AEW National Champion received six stitches and said he’d be out of action for a few days or weeks, though he stressed it wasn’t anything serious. He still worked two Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling dates in Canada before heading back to Miami.
Regardless, AEW’s plans for Andrade heading into All In remain on track.

12:53 PM · Aug 12, 2026At Grand Slam: Mexico, Andrade defeated Tommaso Ciampa and Komander to secure the number one entry in the Casino Gauntlet at All In. Immediately after the match, MJF made a surprise return, laid out Andrade with the Triple B, and took back the Dynamite Diamond Ring.
The rivalry between the two actually traces back further. Andrade turned on MJF and the Don Callis Family during the Death’s Door Match, attacking MJF and Jake Doyle after weeks of mounting tension within the group.
MJF looks to lock up the number two spot in the Casino Gauntlet on tonight’s Dynamite, taking on Mike Bailey and Nick Wayne. A win would slot him in right behind Andrade in the All In match.
