A major match has been confirmed for next week’s WWE NXT that could shake up the Heatwave card.
Zaria will face Kali Armstrong next Tuesday, August 25. If Armstrong wins, she’ll be added to the Zaria vs. Wren Sinclair match at NXT Heatwave, turning the title unification bout into a Triple Threat.
Robert Stone made the call after Armstrong picked up a key victory on this week’s NXT. Teaming with Kelani Jordan, Armstrong defeated Kendal Grey and Wren Sinclair, scoring the pinfall over the reigning Women’s Speed Champion.
Backstage, Armstrong leveraged that win to press Stone for a future opportunity. Zaria cut in, declaring that after Heatwave, the Women’s Speed Championship won’t even exist anymore.
The exchange prompted Stone to make the match official for next week.
Zaria and Sinclair were already confirmed for a Title Unification Match at Heatwave. The bout was set after Sinclair requested another shot at the Women’s North American Champion and put her own title on the line.
NXT Heatwave takes place August 30 at the Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas, the same day as AAA’s Ola de Calor.
