Becky Lynch is clearly enjoying her current character work in WWE, even during a stretch marked by taunts, major losses, and rivalries across the Monday Night RAW women’s division.

During a recent appearance on Stephanie McMahon’s What’s Your Story?, Lynch was asked how much fun she is having with this more exaggerated version of herself on WWE programming.

“Oh, yeah. Maybe too much. Is there such a thing? Maybe there is a point where I go, ‘Is this too much? And as soon as I start thinking that, I go, ‘No, no, it’s great.’ There’s an E in WWE for a reason. What do we always say? If you’re having fun, then the audience is having fun.”

Lynch’s current run has been defined by an increasingly provocative attitude, especially after her time with the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship. The Irish star won the title for the third time at WrestleMania 42 by defeating AJ Lee, but lost the championship to Sol Ruca at Clash in Italy on May 31.

On the following episode of Monday Night RAW, Ruca appeared as the new champion and thanked Lynch after the biggest win of her WWE career.

Despite the loss, Becky is expected to remain one of the central figures in RAW’s women’s division. Her own comments suggest WWE will continue leaning into this more theatrical and arrogant version of her in the coming weeks.
