Sol Ruca, who captured the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship at Clash in Italy, still has not watched her full match against Becky Lynch.
The new champion recently appeared on TMZ’s Inside The Ring after her win in Turin, Italy, and explained that her schedule has been heavy between travel, media, and WWE commitments.
“So I have not watched the whole match back. I feel like sometimes I do watch the matches back and then sometimes I don’t. It kind of just depends on how I feel about it because sometimes if I feel really good about the match and I think the crowd was reacting really, really well, but then I watch it back and I start nitpicking everything where the standard person that’s watching isn’t going to be doing that.”
“So I need to take it for what it is and not for like really nitpicking myself. I think there is a good balance with that. So sometimes I do like to just have a match, enjoy it. I had a lot of fun so like it is what it is. But then, you know, obviously I do like to go back and kind of watch and give myself critiques and ask for, you know, criticism and help with that.”
“So, I haven’t been had time to watch the whole match back yet, but I do want to see it back. But yeah, I’ve just been very busy.”
The title change happened this past Sunday, May 31, at Clash in Italy. Ruca defeated Lynch after escaping a Manhandle Slam and hitting the Sol Snatcher, picking up the win moments later.
This marked Ruca’s first title win on WWE’s main roster. Lynch, meanwhile, saw her reign end after 43 days and only one successful title defense.
