Add as a preferred source on Google Becky Lynch thinks WWE‘s next crop of top stars is going to come from the women’s division.
Speaking with The Female Quotient, The Man said she’s high on the current women’s roster, and that when she pictures who’s headlining shows down the line, the men aren’t the first names that come to mind.
“I feel very optimistic about where we’re going in the future because we have incredibly talented women that are doing amazing stuff.
When I look at the future of WWE and I think of the main eventers who are gonna be our biggest stars in the future, most of the time, I don’t think of the men. I think of the women.”
It’s not the first time she’s said it. Back in June, on Stephanie McMahon’s What’s Your Story?, Lynch said she expects the women to main event more WrestleManias than the men going forward.
Lynch has the resume to back the point. She won the first women’s main event at WrestleMania, beating Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair in a winner-take-all triple threat for the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Titles at WrestleMania 35 in 2019. The only women to headline a Mania since are Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks, who closed out Night 1 of WrestleMania 37.
The division has more real estate now than it did then. WWE introduced the Women’s United States Title in December 2024 and crowned the first Women’s Intercontinental Champion in January 2025, adding two more featured spots to the weekly shows.
