Brie Bella has been pulled from Sunday’s SummerSlam Takeover in Minneapolis, the first fallout from the shoulder injury she suffered on Night One of SummerSlam at U.S. Bank Stadium on Saturday.

The WWE Hall of Famer had been advertised for the fan event at the Minneapolis Convention Center, WWE’s scaled-down version of WWE World that ran all weekend.

Fans who bought a Team Up Photo Op with Brie and Nikki Bella were sent an email letting them know she was off the schedule. “Hello, Due to an injury, Brie Bella will be unable to appear at SummerSlam Takeover. This change affects your Team Up Photo Op,” the email read.

The cancellation came just hours after Triple H addressed Brie’s condition on the SummerSlam post-show. WWE’s chief content officer said she was treated at the stadium before being sent to a hospital for scans, and while he said the shoulder “seems pretty bad,” he stressed that WWE didn’t have an answer on it yet.

Brie appeared to get hurt in the six-woman tag she worked alongside Nikki and Paige in a loss to Fatal Influence’s Jacy Jayne, Lainey Reid, and Fallon Henley. The injury seemingly happened on a Jayne cannonball that drove her back into the steel steps. Brie held her right shoulder the rest of the way and was barely involved in the post-match attack on Paige that turned the Bellas heel, throwing one kick before Nikki did the rest of the damage.

Nikki gave a short update on her sister during an appearance on SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio. “She’s doing okay. She’s in a lot of pain. They are still determining what’s going on, and Brie will say what’s going on. I’ve been told to zip it,” she said.

If Brie ends up missing time, WWE will have to pivot on the Bellas-Paige program it set up minutes after the match.
