Liv Morgan walked out of SummerSlam Saturday still Women’s World Champion, but she left Minneapolis with a black eye to show for it.

Not long after the show at U.S. Bank Stadium, Morgan posted a photo on X of the swelling and a small cut next to her eye, using it to fire a shot at IYO SKY.

“Iyo, you could never make me ugly.”

As rough as the photo looked, nothing about it pointed to anything serious.

Morgan and SKY opened night one and worked a hard-hitting title match with near falls on both sides. Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez were at ringside for their Judgment Day stablemate and got involved late, but SKY took both of them out with a moonsault to the floor and came close to walking out of Minneapolis with the belt.

The finish saw SKY roll through Ob-Liv-ion only to turn right into a Codebreaker, and Morgan connected with a second Ob-Liv-ion for the pin. It was her first televised defense since she took the title off Stephanie Vaquer at WWE WrestleMania 42, capping a reign that had gone more than 100 days without one.

It also isn’t the first time SKY has left a mark on her. Morgan was busted open near the eye on a February 2025 RAW after taking a knee from SKY, and posted photos of that one as well.

Morgan is still advertised as one of the top names for Monday’s SummerSlam fallout RAW in Des Moines.
