Chelsea Green Details Her Plan for Returning to the WWE Ring

Chelsea Green is ready to get back in the ring despite suffering an orbital bone fracture on the August 7 edition of Friday Night SmackDown.

In a recent interview with eTalk, the Interim WWE Women’s Champion revealed she already has a protective face mask to shield the injured area. Staying true to character, Green completely decked it out with rhinestones.

“I have my face mask ready to go that can protect my orbital bone. So if someone comes at me for this title, know that I am prepared. Of course it is [bedazzled]. Would you expect any less from me? I bedazzled the entire thing. I’ve got eye patches ready to go as well that match my outfits, depending on what I wear.”

Green captured the interim title at SummerSlam on August 2, winning a Ladder Match over Tiffany Stratton, Jade Cargill, Charlotte Flair, and Lash Legend. WWE created the interim championship due to Rhea Ripley being out of action.

Five days later, Green suffered the fracture during a match where she and Stratton faced Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. She was taken to the hospital after the show.

The injury nearly ended her reign on the spot. On the August 14 SmackDown, Nick Aldis initially asked Green to hand over the title but reversed course after hearing her out, granting her 30 days to receive medical clearance and make a defense.

Even though she hasn’t officially returned to in-ring competition, Green got physical on the August 21 SmackDown in Toronto, showing up with a kendo stick to make the save when Nia Jax and Lash Legend attacked Tiffany Stratton.
