Chris Jericho and Tommaso Ciampa are set to meet again soon. Their rematch was confirmed during Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite for Redemption, the pay-per-view scheduled for July 26 in Montreal, Canada.
The announcement came in a video package. Jericho said he liked being left bloodied and beaten down by Ciampa and challenged him to another match. At the end, he put on his hat and revealed the Painmaker face paint.
Ciampa responded by accepting the challenge and inviting Jericho to watch Collision this Saturday. The Psycho Killer will issue an open challenge in Boston, his hometown.
This will be the second match between the two. At Beach Break on July 8, Ciampa threw sand in Jericho’s eyes and hit a running knee for the win. After the match, he struck Jericho with a chair and tried to use a power drill.
The feud began in May, when Ciampa attacked Jericho after his win over Ricochet.
The Painmaker first appeared in NJPW in 2019 during the build to Jericho’s IWGP Heavyweight Championship match against Kazuchika Okada at Dominion. Okada won the match and retained the title.
