Following Raw on Monday night at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, WWE immediately taped this week’s SmackDown. The show will air on Friday at 8 p.m. ET on USA Network, one day before Crown Jewel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The big story from the tapings was the main event, where Kevin Owens got his first win over CM Punk in a No Holds Barred match. Full results from the tapings are available below.

Spoilers:

  • Gunther opened the show and denied that he was afraid of The Demon. Finn Balor came out, not as The Demon, and knocked Gunther down.
  • Shinsuke Nakamura pinned Tama Tonga with the Kinshasa.
  • The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match, with B-Fab and Michin defending against Fatal Influence’s Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid, ended in a no contest when Tatum Paxley jumped Jade Cargill. Bayley came out after the match, but Cargill knocked her down. Charlotte Flair then returned and went after Cargill.
  • Nick Aldis called Chelsea Green to the ring and praised her as WWE Women’s Champion. Green admitted that she sometimes doubts herself, but said she has to get a win over Liv Morgan at Crown Jewel. Morgan came out and called Green a paper champion.
  • Backstage, United States Champion Trick Williams had a message for Damian Priest.
  • Damian Priest defeated Nathan Frazer when Frazer was thrown into the announce table and was unable to continue, so the referee called for the bell. After the match, Priest also attacked Axiom.
  • In the ring, Sami Zayn was interrupted by Jimmy Uso, who was upset that Zayn attacked Roman Reigns on Raw. Zayn reminded Jimmy that it was Jimmy who kicked him out of The Bloodline and said he wants Reigns 100 percent focused on Crown Jewel. Jimmy warned that Zayn will take a beating on Saturday.
  • Suddenly, The 946 ran in to attack Jimmy. Zayn was hesitant and left the ring, while Cruz Montana, who debuted on Raw, joined the attack.
  • Kevin Owens defeated CM Punk in the No Holds Barred match. Punk hit the GTS, but Owens punched him with a chain wrapped around his fist and pinned him.

That was the end of the show.
