WWE appears to have made another ring name change for Marie Malenko, Dean Malenko’s daughter, just months after signing her.
According to False Finish, the young wrestler will now go simply by Kenzie. WWE had been using the name Lacey Simon, which was officially introduced when she joined a new Performance Center class on May 20.
Kenzie is still in the early months of her time with the company. On May 26, still working under the Lacey Simon name, she worked her first match as a WWE talent, facing Zena Sterling in a dark match before NXT.

1:02 AM · Aug 16, 2026Before coming to WWE, she began her career as Marie Malenko. Her debut took place on February 2 at Pro Wrestling NOAH’s Monday Magic event in Japan, where she teamed with Sofia Sivan in a three-way tag team match. Shortly after, she attended a WWE tryout at the Performance Center and landed a deal.
The newest Performance Center recruit comes from one of pro wrestling’s most well-known families. She is the daughter of Dean Malenko and granddaughter of Boris Malenko, a Legacy inductee in the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame, making Kenzie a third-generation wrestler.
As of now, WWE has not publicly announced when Kenzie will make her official debut on NXT television.
