NXT Women's North American Champion Zaria tells Busted Open After Dark she's ready for a WWE main roster call-up.

NXT Champion Teases WWE Main Roster Call-Up

Zaria believes her time in WWE NXT is winding down. The reigning NXT Women’s North American Champion says she’s ready for a call-up to RAW or SmackDown.

Speaking with Bully Ray on a recent episode of Busted Open After Dark, Zaria was asked how she’d respond if WWE called her up to the main roster.

“Yes, absolutely. I gotta do something about this [NXT Women’s North American Championship], but I’m absolutely ready. More than ready.”

The comments mark a notable shift for the Australian. Back in March, ahead of WrestleMania 42, Zaria said she still needed more time in NXT and wanted to hit a few milestones before seriously considering the main roster. Winning a championship was one of them.

She checked that box on June 9, defeating Tatum Paxley to capture the NXT Women’s North American Championship for the first time. Zaria has since cemented herself as one of the top names in the women’s division and successfully defended the belt against Wren Sinclair on the August 11 episode of NXT.

Before any main roster move becomes a reality, though, Zaria has a major date on the calendar. At NXT Heatwave on August 30, she’ll face Sinclair again, this time in a title-vs.-title unification match pitting her championship against the WWE Women’s Speed Championship.

A call-up would also follow the path of her former partner Sol Ruca, who left NXT after the two feuded and is now on the main roster. During their time together on the brand, they teamed as ZaRuca and challenged for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
