The mask worn by El Grande Americano at AAA Noche de Los Grandes has officially sold for $50,035 in a WWE charity auction.

The item was worn by Ludwig Kaiser in the Mask vs. Mask match against the “Original” El Grande Americano, Chad Gable, on May 30 at Arena Monterrey in Mexico. Kaiser won the match, forcing Gable to remove his mask in front of the crowd.

The mask was signed and put up for auction by WWE in partnership with Fanatics Authentic. The auction opened on June 12 and was scheduled to close this Friday, June 26.

All net proceeds from the sale will be donated by WWE to the Dr. Sonrisas Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports children with life-threatening health conditions.

On social media, Americano celebrated the final result of the auction:

“What an incredible result! $50,035 USD. Thank you so much for every single bid and to Fanatics. Stay tuned as we share the special handover to Dr. Sonrisas and the children”

The mask also drew attention because of the condition it was listed in, with visible signs from the match, including tears and damage from the bout in Monterrey.
