Carmella has confirmed her retirement from professional wrestling, more than three years after her last match in WWE.
The former SmackDown Women’s Champion revealed the news on the latest episode of the Hot Mom Shit Podcast while talking with Laura Clery about her relationship with Corey Graves and how the two balanced their personal lives and WWE careers.
“I was a professional wrestler. I can’t wrestle anymore. I’m a mom. I have kids. I’m retired.”
It’s a considerable shift from what Carmella was saying just four months ago. In April, after B3CCA hit a move resembling the Code of Silence on AEW Collision, she publicly denied being retired and teased a possible comeback.
“I didn’t retire, I had two babies… might have to come back and show these bitches how it’s really done🤑”
Carmella last competed on December 3, 2023, at a WWE live event at Madison Square Garden. Her final televised match came six days earlier on Monday Night RAW, where she lost to Bianca Belair.
She stepped away shortly after for her first pregnancy. After giving birth to Dimitri in November 2023, Carmella developed drop foot, a complication caused by nerve damage that prevented her from returning to the ring. She later revealed she had planned to come back to WWE, but her contract expired in February 2025 and wasn’t renewed.
Carmella and Graves welcomed their second son, Bram Julian Polinsky, in October 2025.
Over roughly 12 years in WWE, Carmella won the SmackDown Women’s Championship, the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, and became the first-ever women’s Money in the Bank winner.
