Nyla Rose has been announced for a major appearance in Japan, but her future remains tied to AEW.
Despite being booked for Marigold Shine Forever 2026, Fightful Select confirmed that Rose is still under contract with Tony Khan’s company. She also still has an active profile on AEW’s official website, where she is listed as part of the women’s roster.
The Marigold event will take place on May 23 at Ota City General Gymnasium in Tokyo, celebrating the company’s second anniversary. Rose will team with Nagisa Nozaki, Nightshade and Johnnie Robbie against Natsumi Showzuki, Nao Ishikawa, Koshino SYOKO and Angel Hayze.
While she was announced for an upcoming Marigold show, @FightfulSelect can confirm that Nyla Rose is still under AEW contract.

The appearance adds to what has been a busy run in Japan for Rose. According to F4WOnline, she has been in the country since May 5, working for Marvelous as well as Tenryu Project. In Marvelous, Rose and Nightshade won the AAAW Tag Team Championship during the promotion’s 10th anniversary show.
Rose has not wrestled on AEW or ROH programming since November 2024, which naturally led to speculation about her status. However, at least for now, her move to Marigold does not mean she is leaving the company.
It remains unclear whether AEW plans to use Rose again on its programming after this stint in Japan. Her biggest highlight in the company remains her AEW Women’s World Championship reign.
