Jack Perry is sticking around AEW for a few more years. The re-signing was confirmed during this Wednesday’s Dynamite: Beach Break, in a video package that recapped his run with the company and ended with Perry signing his new contract alongside Tony Khan.

The confirmation puts an end to weeks of uncertainty. It had previously been reported that Perry still hadn’t signed a new deal and that his contract was close to expiring.

In the video aired by AEW, Perry explained why he decided to stay with the company.

“So much has happened since the beginning of all this. I’ve made some amazing friends. I’ve definitely made some enemies. I fell in love here.

I feel like I’ve always seen people say ‘This guy has potential to be great. This guy has the potential to be the future’, and I can feel it, and it’s probably the biggest fear I have in my life, it’s that I won’t live up to that.

I want to be the best. I want to be the AEW World Champion. It’s not enough just to be here. I want to be the very best.

AEW is where the future of professional wrestling is going to be decided. This is the place that I want to be the champion because this is where the very best in the world belong. And, that’s why I’m re-signing with AEW.”

Perry has been with AEW since 2019 and was among the names present at the start of the company. Since then, he’s won the World Tag Team Championship, the TNT Championship, and the National Championship.

The new deal also comes after an important stretch for the wrestler. Following the confusion with CM Punk at All In London in 2023, Perry was away from AEW, spent time in NJPW, and returned to the company at Dynasty 2024, already as “The Scapegoat.”
