Kairi Sane didn’t leave the United States right away after being released by WWE. She stayed in the country for about two weeks, keeping up the same training routine she’d followed while she was still on Raw.
In an interview with Weekly Pro Wrestling, Sane said she kept hitting the gym and doing CrossFit before heading back to Japan.
“About two weeks after getting the news of my release, I think. But even while still in America, I kept training as usual—workout routines at the gym, CrossFit, and so on. After all, I had been competing on Raw right up until just before that happened… You see, I have what I call a ‘three-year rule.'”
Her priority, however, was reuniting with her family after living alone in the United States during her second run with WWE.
“Above all, I wanted to express my gratitude to my family and the people I hadn’t been able to see for so long. Living far away from family, I spent my entire time in America completely alone, and I was also thinking about my beloved dog.”
Sane also revealed that she rented a ring to resume training during her 90-day non-compete, which bars her from wrestling or making public appearances.
“Exactly. There’s a rule that prevents me from doing matches or public appearances for 90 days after my release. Since you can’t change the past, I thought, ‘How should I spend this time to make these 90 days the happiest they can be for myself?’ So I rented a ring to practice the fundamentals from scratch, and so on.”
That non-compete period ended on July 23, 2026, and on the same day, Sane posted a photo of herself on a motorcycle with the caption “See you soon” — fueling speculation about her next move.
