Add as a preferred source on Google During the opening segment of Monday’s Raw in Des Moines, Iowa, LA Knight interrupted Roman Reigns, the reigning World Heavyweight Champion, and demanded a title match.
Knight defeated members of Reigns’ family at SummerSlam. Reigns came to the ring to celebrate his victory over Seth Rollins in the main event of SummerSlam Night Two. Reigns said he had kept his promise, defeated one of his biggest career rivals and finally found peace.
After congratulating Reigns for beating Rollins without help, Knight again called him a fraud and said he was tired of being ignored by Reigns.
Knight demanded a singles match with no interference from The Bloodline. He added that he was willing to wait until WrestleMania if necessary.
Reigns mocked Knight’s watch and said he would not earn a title shot by complaining. Reigns acknowledged as much, but told him to go to the back of the line.
Knight fired back, saying he had already proven himself several times and that Reigns is not on his level.
The exchange referenced their first match at Crown Jewel 2023. Knight came close to winning the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship after hitting the BFT, but Jimmy Uso put Reigns’ foot on the rope and prevented the victory.
