Roman Reigns could be headed for a first-time appearance in AAA. WWE closed this week’s Monday Night RAW in Des Moines with a conversation between the World Heavyweight Champion and AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio.

The moment came after Jacob Fatu defeated Royce Keys in a Street Fight and continued the attack after the bell. Reigns appeared on the stage, gave his approval of Fatu’s attack and threw up The Bloodline hand sign.

Reigns then met Mysterio in the gorilla position. Rey noted that he runs AAA and said he wanted to run some ideas by him. The champion agreed before the two walked off together. WWE did not reveal what they discussed or announce Reigns for any AAA show.

However, the schedule puts Reigns close to AAA’s biggest event of the year. Triplemanía 34 will take place over two nights, on September 11 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and on September 13 at Arena CDMX in Mexico City. The first night was moved to a larger venue after the originally planned venue sold out.

Reigns is also advertised for the September 14 episode of Monday Night RAW at Arena CDMX, just one day after the second night of Triplemanía.

Mysterio’s recent history as General Manager suggests the segment wasn’t a coincidence. In June, Rey teased the arrival of a former WWE World Champion and introduced Damian Priest as AAA’s newest addition weeks later.

The conversation on RAW signals that Reigns could be used on one of the two nights of Triplemanía 34, although it is not yet known whether it means a match, an appearance, or just an announcement. Should it happen, it would be one of the biggest crossovers WWE and AAA have ever promoted.
