Mercedes Moné, who had been absent from AEW programming since December 2025, returned on Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite at the Siegel Center in Richmond, Virginia.

The former TBS Champion was revealed as the Wild Card entrant in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.

Her return came during the match against Alex Windsor, who had originally been set to face a surprise opponent in the women’s tournament. Moné went on to defeat Windsor by submission with the Statement Maker, advancing to the next round.

The “CEO’s” return is directly tied to Willow Nightingale’s absence. The Wild Card spot ended up filling the slot that was originally expected to belong to Willow following her shoulder injury.

With the win, Moné will face either Persephone or Hazuki in the semifinal. The two are set to face each other on the next AEW Collision, scheduled for Saturday, June 6.

The men’s and women’s Owen Hart Tournament finals are set to take place at Forbidden Door on June 28. The winners will earn world title shots at All In: London, which will be held on August 30 at Wembley Stadium.
