Oba Femi can join a very short list in his first WWE SummerSlam. The Ruler meets Brock Lesnar inside Hell in a Cell on Saturday, Aug. 1, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

If the Cell match goes on last on Night One, Femi joins Kurt Angle, Booker T, Lesnar and Randy Orton as guys who main evented SummerSlam the first time they worked the show.

Angle did it in 2000 in the three-way with The Rock and Triple H. Booker T followed against Rock in 2001, and Lesnar beat Rock for the Undisputed WWE Title on top in 2002. Orton was in the Elimination Chamber that closed the 2003 show.

Michael Tarver belongs on that list too. He and the other six Nexus members worked the 2010 main event against Team WWE. Samoa Joe and Braun Strowman are two more, both making their SummerSlam debuts in the 2017 Fatal 4-Way for the Universal Title.

The stat isn’t locked in yet. WWE hasn’t announced a match order, and some of the advertising has positioned CM Punk vs. Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Title as the top match of Night One. Elsewhere, the projection has been that Hell in a Cell closes it.

Wherever it lands on the card, Femi is getting one of the biggest SummerSlam debuts anyone has had. He and Lesnar are 1-1 going in — Femi went over at WrestleMania 42, Lesnar got the win back at Clash in Italy — making Saturday the rubber match.

Lesnar is also 2-0 inside the Cell, both wins over The Undertaker. It’s Femi’s first match in the structure.
