Nikkita Lyons finally won her first championship since signing with WWE.
On Wednesday’s EVOLVE Succession III special, Lyons defeated Wendy Choo to become the new WWE EVOLVE Women’s Champion.
The finish came when Lyons hit Choo with a spinning front kick to the face, then followed up with the pinfall to end Choo’s title reign. Before the show aired, Lyons had already promised on social media that she would leave the event with the championship.
This is the first time Lyons has won a title in WWE, as well as her first title reign in EVOLVE. Choo, meanwhile, saw her reign end after two successful title defenses. Using the May 29 taping date for the match, she held the title for 70 days.
Choo had won the championship in a Gauntlet Match on April 15 after Kendal Grey vacated the title.
While Lyons has been competing on EVOLVE, she has also been appearing on WWE NXT, where she was recently linked up with Nattie and Karmen Petrovic.
