Stephanie Vaquer hasn’t competed since losing the Women’s World Championship to Liv Morgan at WrestleMania 42 on April 18. Season 3 of WWE: Unreal, however, has provided new context and a possible explanation for her extended absence.

In backstage footage from the event, Vaquer is shown in tears after her 210-day reign came to an end in her first pinfall loss since joining the main roster. She says it was the right time to drop the title, citing the physical toll built up over her career.

“It was the perfect time to lose the title… I have too many years fighting non stop.”

Vaquer also explained that her body needed a break. Her comments suggest the title change wasn’t purely a creative decision involving Morgan, but also came at a point when Vaquer needed rest.

The wear and tear she described isn’t surprising. In 2025 alone, Vaquer competed in 49 matches for WWE and won 40 of them, finishing the year with more wins than any other talent in the company. Her career now includes more than 400 recorded matches.

Although she hasn’t wrestled since WrestleMania, her last TV appearance came on the April 27 episode of Raw, when Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez attacked her backstage. Michael Cole later announced that Vaquer had suffered a second-degree sprain in the AC joint of her left shoulder.

Recent reports indicate that Vaquer’s return is expected around SummerSlam, scheduled for August 1-2, or sometime after the event.
