Add as a preferred source on Google Raquel Rodriguez has put her own stamp on the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship. On Monday’s Raw in Des Moines, Iowa, the Judgment Day member showed up with the title wrapped in barbed wire.
Rodriguez won the championship on the July 27 episode of Raw, defeating Sol Ruca with a Tejana Bomb. Roxanne Perez interfered in the closing moments of the match while Liv Morgan and IYO SKY brawled around ringside.
Raquel finished the match with a bloody nose, which raised some concern. One week later, the barbed wire she’d added to the title further emphasized her more aggressive edge.
This is Rodriguez’s first singles championship on WWE’s main roster. Her last singles title reign came as NXT Women’s Champion from April 7, 2021, to October 26, 2021.
At this point, Rodriguez’s first title defense has not been announced.
