Seth Rollins has confirmed that he has three years left on his current WWE contract.
In an interview with Sports Business Journal on Friday, Rollins said he intends to keep working for WWE as long as he feels he is still contributing to its programming.
He noted that he will be 43 when the deal runs out.
“I want to be with WWE as long as I can continue to contribute and feel I’m helping the product, as opposed to taking up space that could be better utilized for younger talent.”
Rollins has also been growing his presence in sports media, and he made clear that he does not plan to leave the ring behind for a full-time media career.
“When it comes to the sports media side of it, what I will not do is say I’m stopping wrestling and now I’m doing sports media. I want to continue at this game in WWE while also continuing to field offers [in sports media] and see where that goes.”
His media work is already running alongside his WWE career. On Monday, he returned as a co-host of NFL Network’s Good Morning Football for the show’s broadcast from Chicago.
Rollins has been off WWE television since August 2, when he lost to Roman Reigns in the SummerSlam Night 2 main event in Minneapolis. Since then, he has returned to the ring at house shows during WWE’s recent tour of South America.
