Stephanie Vaquer has again spoken publicly about the criminal case against her former boyfriend, El Cuatrero, whose real name is Rogelio Reyes. She accused him of trying to cast himself as the victim despite his conviction for attempted femicide and domestic violence.
Vaquer made the remarks on Monday, October 12, in the comment section of an Instagram post from Cibernético promoting Cuatrero’s interview on the show Devorador de Pecados.
In the interview, Cuatrero discussed the nearly two years he spent in prison and said his legal fight is not over. He added that he intends to keep seeking clarity and believes time will reveal the truth about the case.
Vaquer disputed Cuatrero’s version of events, saying she is waiting for the case to conclude before releasing the evidence gathered over nearly three years of investigation. She also accused Cuatrero and Cibernético of exploiting her public profile to generate controversy and attract an audience.
In her comment, Vaquer wrote that she does not need to put on a circus to defend her truth.
Vaquer also made another accusation, saying a different woman had filed a complaint against Cuatrero over similar incidents roughly eight years ago. She said there are other complaints against him and asked why those cases are not brought up in the interviews he gives.
Cuatrero was sentenced in May to 12 years and eight months in prison. A court, however, granted him permission to remain free while the appeals process plays out.
The ruling also allows Cuatrero to continue wrestling, provided he reports his bookings to authorities every three weeks. He is prohibited from appearing at any event where Vaquer is present.
Vaquer closed her comment by saying she will keep defending the truth with facts and evidence as she awaits the next steps in the legal process.
