TNA Reportedly Planning Major Debut for Bound for Glory

Bound for Glory may have another big surprise in store for TNA fans. The promotion’s biggest pay-per-view of the year is set for Sunday, October 11, at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida.

PWInsider reports that TNA expects a former tag team champion to debut at the show. However, there is no word yet on who the wrestler is, and no further details about TNA’s creative plans have surfaced.

That debut would add yet another new element to TNA’s plans for Bound for Glory. Avery Styles, the son of AJ Styles, is already set to make his TNA in-ring debut in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet.

Also on the card, Nic Nemeth will defend the TNA World Championship against Leon Slater, and Xia Brookside will put the TNA Knockouts World Championship on the line against Indi Hartwell. Mustafa Ali is set to defend the TNA International Championship in a four-way match.

The Hardys will take on Syx, the team of Joseph Sawyer and Samuel Shaw, in a Falls Count Anywhere match. TNA made the match official after Sawyer and Shaw, both former members of the Wyatt Sicks, revealed that they were behind the mysterious attacks of recent weeks.

This year’s event will be the first Bound for Glory held in Tampa. The main card is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. ET and will air on TNA+ and pay-per-view.
