Willow Nightingale is back in AEW. On Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite: Beach Break, the former TBS Champion won the Women’s Casino Gauntlet Match to earn an AEW Women’s World Championship match against Thekla at Redemption.

The match began with Athena and Maya World as the first two entrants before Skye Blue, Mina Shirakawa, Rina, Julia Hart, Thunder Rosa, and finally Willow entered the field. Thekla watched from the commentary desk, while Mercedes Moné also observed the match from the ramp.

Nightingale entered as the eighth participant and received a huge reaction from the crowd in Clearwater, Florida. After clearing part of the ring and taking Athena out on the floor, she capitalized on the chaos involving several wrestlers and pinned Julia Hart to win.

Willow had been out of action with a shoulder injury. Because of the injury, she was forced to vacate the AEW TBS Championship and withdraw from the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament, which ultimately opened the door for Mercedes Moné.

Speaking of Moné, she is already guaranteed an AEW Women’s World Championship match at All In at Wembley after defeating Maya World in the finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament.

After Willow’s win, Thekla attacked her, but Moné also took out Thekla and stood tall over her.

AEW Redemption will take place at Centre Bell in Montreal, Quebec, on July 26.
