Add as a preferred source on Google WWE has updated the status of AJ Lee, Brie Bella and Nikki Bella on its official website, moving all three women to the Free Agent section of the Superstars page. The company’s own page lists the Free Agent filter alongside RAW, SmackDown and NXT, which indicates this is an internal roster classification rather than a release or anything of that nature.
Brie Bella won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship with Paige at WrestleMania 42, after The Anti-Diva returned to WWE as Nikki Bella’s surprise replacement while Nikki was injured.
In AJ Lee’s case, the update only adds to the uncertainty surrounding her future. According to WrestleVotes Radio, WWE currently has no creative plans for AJ following her loss to Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 42, although people within the company are still hoping she could return by SummerSlam.
So far, WWE has not officially announced anything new involving AJ Lee, Brie Bella or Nikki Bella. For now, the change should be treated only as an internal status update, with their next steps still yet to play out.
