WWE Planning Major Roman Reigns Rematch for Crown Jewel

PWInsider Elite reports WWE plans Roman Reigns vs. Sami Zayn for the Crown Jewel Championship on November 7.

WWE Planning Major Roman Reigns Rematch for Crown Jewel

Roman Reigns is expected to headline yet another major WWE event in 2026. Current plans call for a match against Sami Zayn at Crown Jewel for the Crown Jewel Championship.

According to PWInsider Elite, several people within WWE believe Reigns and Zayn will main event the show. Both need to carry their titles into the event for that to happen, of course.

The report also helps explain the surprising title change on Friday’s SmackDown in Mexico City. Zayn defeated CM Punk after interference from Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, and Kevin Owens, kicking off his second reign with the Undisputed WWE Championship.

One reason for the switch was reportedly to avoid another Punk vs. Reigns match. The two already closed night two of WrestleMania 42 in April, with Reigns winning the World Heavyweight Championship.

A Reigns vs. Zayn match at Crown Jewel would also revisit one of the most important chapters of The Bloodline story. The two faced off for the world title at Elimination Chamber 2023 in Montreal, where Reigns won in a match shaped by Jimmy Uso’s interference and Jey Uso’s conflict with his own family.

Reigns isn’t there yet. Tonight, he defends the World Heavyweight Championship against Penta on Monday Night RAW in Mexico City. WWE’s also been working toward a defense against LA Knight at Money in the Bank on October 10.

Crown Jewel takes place November 7 at the Riyadh Season Stadium at KAFD in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
