According to a survey by Wrestling Noticias, the last RAW to go without a women’s match was the March 2, show in Indianapolis, Indiana. Since then, the red brand had gone 19 consecutive episodes with at least one match from the division. That night, AJ Lee came out to celebrate winning the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, but she didn’t compete, either.
Despite the lack of in-ring action, the women’s roster still factored into several storylines in Detroit. Liv Morgan accompanied The Judgment Day, attacked Danhausen and interfered in the match between Dominik Mysterio and Joe Hendry.

IYO SKY returned during the match and went straight after the Women’s World Champion, continuing the rivalry that will carry both of them into SummerSlam.
In another segment, Sol Ruca gave a backstage interview that was interrupted by Lyra Valkyria. Fresh off her win over Bayley at Saturday Night’s Main Event, Lyra said she plans to get back into the hunt for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
That decision stands out because, just two days earlier, Saturday Night’s Main Event featured two women’s matches, including Fatal Influence capturing the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
