Joe Gacy revealed one of the ideas pitched for The Wyatt Sicks during their WWE run. The project would have featured the members in their own segments inside a house, living together as a different kind of family, in a format similar to WandaVision.
Speaking on the Casa D-18 Studios podcast, the former Joe Gacy, now known as Joseph Sawyer, explained that the stable pitched ideas every week, but none of them made it to TV. The goal was not to recreate Bray Wyatt’s Firefly Fun House, but instead to create something that would give the members more identity outside of matches.
The planned scene would have featured Gacy and Nikki Cross playing on the floor, Dexter Lumis handling an unspecified part of the scene, and Erick Rowan arriving home from work. The setting would have included the sound of laughter, but it would have become increasingly strange and uncomfortable as the scene went on.
That wasn’t the only proposal. The Wyatt Sicks also wanted to shoot vignettes of the group inside a Winnebago, inspired by House of 1000 Corpses. According to Gacy, the idea was meant to showcase the family dynamic and the reasons each member was part of the stable.
This wasn’t the first time the film influenced the former WWE wrestler’s creative work. In 2023, Gacy said that before the start of NXT 2.0, he and then-NXT talent Ava Raine worked on an idea for a family group inspired by House of 1000 Corpses, a project that later helped form The Schism.
Alexa Bliss was the only name mentioned as a possible addition to The Wyatt Sicks. Gacy said the possibility came up during the first meeting and that the plan was always to add Bliss to the group later on, but the storyline never reached that point.
The Wyatt Sicks made their in-ring debut on August 5, 2024. Gacy and Lumis won the WWE Tag Team Championship on July 11, 2025, and held the titles for 196 days. The stable’s final match came on April 17, 2026, against MFT, one week before the group was released by WWE.
