WWE has started a new round of releases.
The cuts began on Friday, September 4, and have mostly hit talent from NXT, EVOLVE and WWE’s developmental system.
According to Fightful Select, the list has reached 10 names: Wendy Choo, Adriana Rizzo, Zena Sterling, Anya Rune, Braxton Cole, Jasper Troy, PJ Vasa, Gary Wilson, Ellen Akesson and Marcus Brown.
As of now, there are no reports of main roster cuts, and as previously reported, none are expected.
Wendy Choo is among the best-known names on the list. She had been in the WWE system for several years and won the EVOLVE Women’s Championship in April.
Jasper Troy also had a moment in the spotlight, winning the first season of WWE LFG and later capturing the Speed Championship. His most recent match was a loss to Akira Tozawa on the August 27 episode of WWE Main Event.
Adriana Rizzo had only just returned from a serious knee injury. The former D’Angelo Family member was cleared to compete in June and returned to the ring on July 24.
Marcus Brown and Ellen Akesson had been at the Performance Center for only a few months and never made their official in-ring debuts for WWE. Gary Wilson had been a WWE referee since 2022 and worked SmackDown.
PJ Vasa publicly confirmed her exit and indicated she has a 30-day non-compete before she becomes a free agent. Fightful Select also confirmed the exits of Braxton Cole and Anya Rune.
