Jasper Troy is no longer with WWE. The former WWE Speed Champion was released on Friday, September 4, as part of a new round of cuts in NXT.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider confirmed the news. Johnson reported that Troy is the only name confirmed so far, but more releases are expected soon.
Troy had been under contract with WWE since 2022. He broke out in 2025 by winning the first season of WWE LFG as a member of Booker T’s team, and he became a regular on NXT programming from there.
His biggest moment in the company came in November 2025, when he defeated El Grande Americano to capture the WWE Speed Championship. It was the only title he held in WWE.
Troy’s last televised NXT match took place on June 9, when he lost to Dion Lennox. He continued working live events and WWE Main Event after that.
His final match came on August 22 at an NXT live event in Gainesville, Florida, where he teamed with Elijah Holyfield to defeat Shido Ash and Viktor Zanov.
