Bandido and Kyle Fletcher’s rivalry has spilled outside AEW‘s shows and reached San Diego Comic-Con this Friday, July 24, 2026.
Brodido, the team of ROH World Champion Bandido and Brody King, crashed the company’s panel at the event. Fletcher initially confronted King, but Bandido stepped into it and started trading punches with the AEW International Champion in front of the crowd.
The fight quickly got out of hand, and security had to step in and pull the two wrestlers apart before it could continue.
Fletcher had been announced for the panel alongside Tony Khan, Swerve Strickland, Thekla, Orange Cassidy, Ricochet and “Speedball” Mike Bailey. Renee Paquette hosted AEW’s panel at the convention.
The scene comes just two days before AEW Redemption, set for Sunday, July 26, in Montreal. Fletcher will put the AEW International Championship on the line against Bandido at the pay-per-view.
It will be the first singles match between the two. The bout was announced after a backstage incident on the July 15 episode of Dynamite, when Fletcher challenged Bandido after defending the title against Komander.
Bandido gained a key edge in the buildup to the rivalry on the most recent episode of Dynamite. Alongside Brody King, he beat Fletcher and Kazuchika Okada in a tag team match.
In the closing moments, Okada went for the Rainmaker on King but hit Fletcher by mistake. Bandido capitalized on the mistake, hit the 21 Plex and got the win.
