GUNTHER ended WWE Night of Champions in a difficult position backstage after coming up short in the Triple Threat Match for the Undisputed WWE Championship.

In the main event, Sami Zayn defeated Cody Rhodes and GUNTHER to win the title for the first time in his career. The finish came when Rhodes went for a Cross Rhodes on Zayn, only to get caught with a roll-up.

On the post-show, GUNTHER crossed paths with Nick Aldis and once again blamed the SmackDown General Manager for his recent failures.

The Austrian brought up his controversial loss at Clash in Italy, when his foot was under the rope, as well as the confusion that turned his rematch against Rhodes into a Triple Threat Match.

The argument got out of hand when GUNTHER grabbed Aldis by the collar, forcing others to step in and separate them.

Check out the incident below:

GUNTHER’s loss was even more frustrating because he came close to winning at several points. During the match, he powerbombed Cody through the announce tables and locked in a sleeper hold that nearly gave him the victory.
