Add as a preferred source on Google Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins went longer than anyone else at the 2026 WWE SummerSlam. The former Shield brothers closed out night two with a World Heavyweight Title match that ran roughly 33 minutes.
That edged out CM Punk vs. Cody Rhodes, which went 30 minutes and 10 seconds and had been the longest match of night one. Nothing else across the two nights came close. The five-way ladder match for the interim WWE Women’s Title on night two, for example, was over in 13 minutes.
Length aside, Reigns and Rollins packed the match with callbacks to their Shield days. Both worked in offense tied to Jon Moxley, who was known as Dean Ambrose in WWE, as Rollins hit the Lunatic Lariat and Reigns broke out the old Dirty Deeds.
Reigns eventually put Rollins away with three straight Spears to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.
After the finish, Rollins left the old Shield mask in the ring and accepted a fist bump from Reigns.
The win also evened their official singles record at five wins apiece with one draw. Worth noting, the WrestleMania 41 triple threat between Rollins, Reigns, and Punk also went exactly 33 minutes.
