Add as a preferred source on Google Seth Rollins believes his chemistry with Roman Reigns comes from the history and genuine emotion they have built together throughout their WWE careers.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Rollins said the two know each other well enough to make their work feel authentic whether they are teaming, wrestling or trading words on the microphone.
“Yeah. I think with the two of us, between us, we have so much history and there’s so much real and raw emotion and you can really thread the needle between what is authentic and what is just for television. And there’s so much I think both of us have to push at each other, so many buttons to press, that it just makes it really easy. And look, whether we like each other or not and whether we are on the same wavelength or not, we know each other really well and we work really well together, whether it’s as a team or against each other, whether it’s in the ring, whether it’s on a microphone, we’ve always had great chemistry. And so I think you see that on full display when the two of us are in the ring. Not to mention, the energy of the two of us just standing there is really something special.”
Rollins and Reigns were WWE Tag Team Champions together. Rollins broke up The Shield by attacking Reigns with a chair on the June 2, 2014 episode of Raw.
Their most recent singles match took place at the 2022 Royal Rumble, where Rollins won by disqualification after Reigns refused to release the Guillotine.
The rivalry will continue at SummerSlam on Sunday, August 2, when Reigns defends the World Heavyweight Championship against Rollins in Minneapolis.
