Sol Ruca, the current WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion, already has a bold goal for her first title reign on WWE’s main roster.
Speaking on the No-Contest Wrestling Podcast, Ruca said she wants to be remembered as the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time while defending the title as often as possible.
“I want them to think that I’ve had the best Intercontinental Championship run of all time. That’s the goal. I want to defend it as many times as possible. If it was up to me, I would absolutely love to bring some NXT girlies to try and defend this title and put them up on the main roster and see what they got. But yeah, I just want to defend it as much as I can. I want to do right by this title and yeah, I want to make myself and all my followers proud.” [laughter]
Ruca won the title at Clash in Italy on May 31, defeating Becky Lynch after countering a Man-handle Slam into a Sol Snatcher and scoring the pinfall to capture the championship.
Before moving up to the main roster, Ruca had already won the NXT Women’s North American Championship and the Women’s Speed Championship, which ties into her desire to prove herself as champion.
